Meet The Band

Karen

Karen Mitchell - Vocals

I had a crazy notion to start a band in 1994 and in 1998, RHYTHM f/x was formed and it’s been fun ever since. I have surrounded myself with Arizona’s best musicians, and am able to cover tunes from multiple decades. My vocal styles range from the great standards of the past to the fun upbeat dance music of today. I can emulate voices from country to disco, to rock, and to Top 40 which helps make the setlist so diverse.
When a corporate event opens up with the National Anthem, give me a call.  I perform the National Anthem a cappella.

I am also the liaison between the client and RHYTHM f/x, which is a relationship I take very seriously. Every event or party is treated as if it is the most important one ever.

When I am not gigging with the guys of RHYTHM f/x, you will find me at the barn with my horses.

Karen's Past:
Philadelphia Variety Dance Band: “Red, Hot, & Blue”
Phoenix Variety Band: “Catch”
Phoenix Duo with Mike Kollwitz, renowned Chapman Stick Player: “Chick & the Stick”

Greg McBroom
Vocals & Lead Guitar

RHYTHM f/x would not be the success that it is if not for Greg McBroom. The talent this man possesses is beyond incredible. The party songs that all Wedding Reception and corporate event crowds want to hear are Greg’s signature songs. Not only will he dazzle you with his outstanding ability to play the lead guitar but his strong vocals keep the crowd on the dance floor 'til the wee hours. Audiences are truly moved after hearing him play Gary Moore’s “Still Got the Blues”. Be sure to request it at your next corporate event! He is an amazingly humble man with a tremendous talent. Greg is also largely responsible for bringing Jeffy, Sean, and George to the band. Thank you Greg.

Greg played with Market Field for 10 years. He co-owned a recording
studio named Abbey Road West Studios. Greg contributed to "Lista Brown" on United Distributors as well as on Beholding Christian Band's independent album.

He also worked with the Jeff Java Project for six years and The Simpletons
acoustic trio for 2 years. Greg is also a B.M.I affiliate.

Jeff Quinonez

“WOW” best describes Jeffy Q. His talent on vocals and keyboards is unsurpassed! The soul with which he performs is captivating. Jeffy Q will likely trigger a standing ovation with his mesmerizing talent, whether it is the coolest version of “Shout” you will ever hear or it is Elvis’s “American Trilogy” that will literally bring tears to your eyes. His good looks, amazing energy, and never ceasing talent consistently have audiences begging for more. To have been at an event where Jeffy performs is a privilege indeed. His versatility as an entertainer and musician brings a lively energetic spirit to the band. Jeffy Q has recorded with the following projects:

George Robbins
Drums & Vocals

George has more energy, talent, and charisma than any drummer. When George joined the band, the fun began.  He is able to engage a crowd, get the least likely person to moonwalk, and keep the beat all at the same time.  George has a gift for interacting with the crowd and understanding the dynamics of keeping a party going strong.   Party music is George’s game and he plays it well. In addition to being an outstanding drummer, his vocal talents are beyond impressive.  Combine those talents with good looks, and the crowd goes wild. Most bands dread the set up and tear down of a gig, but for RHYTHM f/x, it is a time of laughter thanks in large part to George’s tremendous sense of humor. Thank you George.

During his career he has had an abundance of experience which includes:

Road Runner Records - L.A. CA
Dislocated Styles with Producer: Howard Benson
Recording Engineer:  Bobby Brooks

Some of the great drummers who have influenced his style are:
Gene Krupa
John Bonham
David Garibaldi
Rod Morgansein
